Cognitive & Functional Therapy
Rewire thought patterns that hold you back.
CBT and cognitive rehabilitation give youth practical, evidence-based tools to identify the connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors — and interrupt cycles that no longer serve them.
What it addresses
- Anxiety disorders & phobias
- Depression & low mood
- OCD & intrusive thoughts
- Academic & performance anxiety
- Negative self-talk & perfectionism
- Behavioral challenges at home or school
What a session looks like
Sessions follow a structured but conversational format. Your therapist collaborates with your child to identify specific thought patterns (cognitive distortions), design behavioral experiments, and practice new responses in real-world scenarios. Between sessions, short skill-building exercises reinforce what was learned in the room. Progress is tracked with simple validated measures so families can see tangible growth over time.
